What drives me to succeed is the ability to improve day by day. Career-wise, I’d know that I will have succeeded once I become a professional in my work and am able to help people financially.

My drive for success is feeling accomplished after I’ve reached my goals! It fuels me to continue to keep going!

After college I plan to continue my education, pursuing masters degrees in philosophy, political science, and/or anthropology, and am considering a PhD in sociolinguistics. Success will be incorporating this education of human behavior, language, and political structures in order to work as forcefully as possible to change the way this country deals with sexual violence.

To me, success looks like achieving my dreams, getting a job that allows me to grow and help my community, and being stable enough to help out my family. What drives me to succeed is the constant support I receive from my family and my desire to make them proud.

What drives me to succeed is a combination of making a successful career for myself as well as making my family proud. I want to make a name out of myself as a Latina woman in the world of medicine and mental health.

Success starts as a fantasy. The moment when the ideas that make me wake up in the morning become tangible. Tangible enough for my younger self to admire and look up to – that’s when success ends as a reality.

I would not necessarily say a specific event drives me to succeed but more the will to use my knowledge and skills to help at least one person and hopefully many more. Success is using what I am good at and building on that to make a difference in a field I enjoy.

After college, I’d like to enter the publishing industry and work while pursuing my own goal of writing a fiction novel and becoming an author. One day, I’d like my work to enter the big screen as well.

What drives me to succeed is being financially stable enough to the point where I can not only support my parents but also fulfill my own dreams of traveling.

Aside from God, the two most important things in my life are freedom and family. Success to me is achieving freedom to do what I want with the people I deeply love and care about.

What drives me to succeed is the pursuit of more knowledge and being well-rounded. I see success as continuous, and by happily meeting minor goals I have set for myself on my path to forensic pathology, I will consider myself successful.

I want to become a software engineer at a top company so I can help create products that will be used by millions of people.

It has always been my dream to be in the health field. Therefore, when I graduate, I would like to work as a medical device designer, and to eventually venture into healthcare apps development. I also intend to start a non-profit foundation in Imo State, Nigeria, that will advocate for the accessibility and affordability of basic healthcare/technologies to the less privileged. My goal is for it to expand across West Africa, partnering with international health charity institutions to raise funding and bring more awareness to the lamentable condition of the healthcare industry in developing countries.

I feel successful when I acquire enough knowledge and skill in a topic or activity I’m interested in. During and after college, I desire to be a person capable of dominating different areas of work besides Advertising and PR, such as Graphic design and UX design.

What drives me to succeed is to build myself a future that I’m proud of. To me success looks like working at a museum as a paleoanthropologist and being able to provide for my family.

Success for me on a larger scale is being able to address and solve as many local health inequity issues I can so I can leave a positive impact on not only the community I serve but as many as I can. On a smaller scale, my dream as a future physician is to help educate my patients the best I can about their medical options and how to move forward regarding their health issues. My drive for success in these aspects stems from my own experiences with health issues and my involvement in community service.

To me, success looks like helping women, especially women of color, pursue careers in fields with a high barrier to entry and lack of gender and race diversity.

After completing three years of undergraduate studies, I will be completing four years of medical education at the CUNY School of Medicine on a path towards becoming a physician. I have also dreamed of becoming a doctor in search of new medical inquiries through modern research and application.

Success is where preparation meets opportunity. Service and my love for science are my motivators to becoming a Physician and working to close healthcare disparities.

Expanding my own knowledge in science and animal medicine along with the desire to make new discoveries is what drives me to succeed. I hope to attend Veterinary school after college and pursue a specialty in the future!

I envision myself most successful in creative publication environments which allow me to express myself through writing and research.

What drives me to succeed is my work-ethic, through and through. What success looks like for me is obtaining my doctorate degree, opening my own private practice, and helping dozens of people on a daily basis with their respective mental struggles.

Overall success to me is leaving the earth in a little better way than it was when I found it. I plan to do my part in this by improving the world’s transportation systems and increasing its use of renewable resources.

Bringing more underrepresented voices into the art world is what drives me to succeed. I wish to create the foundations for minority artists to be able to create without boundaries.

Faith in God, family and everyday victims of injustice fuel my ardent desire to look into human rights law. Looking at these three groups of motivation are models to what success looks like to me. This is beyond being an advocate. Rather, success to me doesn’t look like taking shortcuts and trendy paths but it involves a struggle with this passion and getting through those challenges to redefine what justice truly is.

For me, success is reaching the point where I’m stable and satisfied enough in my life to shift from a commitment to myself to a commitment to my community. It’s this goal of contributing to the world that drives me to succeed in my aspired career as a mechanical engineer with a focus on sustainability.

There are many factors that drive me to succeed. For one, my family and the expectations they have for me. Another factor is being able to help others through education and action. After college, I would want to pursue my doctorate degree in sociology and I want to teach but also make change in my community by being active in local organizations.

I am motivated to succeed by self mastery. I always want to learn, to grow, and develop to better myself and master what I execute. Success for me looks like someone who is happy with their career choices and is able to give back. Success also feels like pride. Pride in being able to help or contribute to something bigger than myself.

I want to have a career in the medical field. I would love to go to medical school after graduating from City College and become a pediatrician. Moreover, to me success means to be happy and make others happy. So, I choose medical as a career to achieve my success.

I am heavily motivated by my family and community to succeed. I want to repay them for the opportunities they have given me to have a chance at success. Success to me is being able to provide for myself, being able to comfortably prioritize my own happiness, and being able to give back to my loved ones and community.

When I graduate from CCNY, I plan to stay in New York City to work in public service and build a career as a Journalist. On the other hand, I could move abroad and put down roots in either Cataluña, Stockholm, Glasgow, or Berlin.

For me, success is doing something I love and doing it so well that it can inspire others to pursue their dreams.

What drives me to succeed is knowing that I could change people’s lives for the better. Knowing that by what I do I can make their life easier, safer and more equal. I want to ensure that people’s quality of life improves despite what challenges they face or where they live and knowing that I could do this with my career drives me to succeed.

My pushing force in every aspect of my life is making my family proud. I strive to use what they have instilled me to ensure I leave my mark in the world. I want to inspire the children of immigrants to see that our heritage isn’t something to shy away from, but the inspiration to be all that our parents never got the opportunity to do.

I would like to attend graduate school with a major in industrial and organizational psychology in order to further enhance my understanding of human behavior. In addition to pursuing my career aspirations, I hope to advocate for mental health in developing countries while providing effective resources for young individuals.

I am motivated by my love of people and culture.

Being an inspiration to younger generations drives me to success. When I neglect my potential I think to myself “I should be someone my siblings look up to.” This mindset is what motivates me to never give up on my aspirations.

Success to me is feeling accomplished in both your challenges and achievements. After college I would like to work for an NGO that aims to support younger children and their educational/health challenges.

Success is doing what you are meant to do. What drives me to succeed is to make sure that I do that thing, and that I do it with passion.

There are many things that drive me to success – the main one being my family. They are my constant motivation to succeed. The fact that both my parents decided to put their dreams to rest to give my sister and I a better life is honestly the greatest push in my life. I want to make them proud by accomplishing all of my goals in life no matter how small or big and give them the world times 1000 better just like they did with their children.
The definition of success can be different for everybody. The way I think of success is by simply passing a math test or getting an A on a paper. Success is the goals you set for yourself and end up accomplishing.

Once completing my undergraduate studies, I wish to further my career in public service. Ideally, my dream job would focus on providing mental health resources within my own South Asian community. I am driven by the desire to create a more open and progressive space for other brown kids to grow up in.

After college, I want to pursue a career in social work or data science.

In my eyes, success is helping my community flourish, and reaching out to distressed souls. With my education in psychology, the only mark on the world I can allow myself to leave is one of positive guidance and influence – through providing counseling and assistance in both clinical and community settings.

What drives me to succeed is the desire to have a happy life, one in which I’m happy with what I do and make my family proud of my accomplishments. Not only will I succeed in order to repay my parents for all their hardships, but I will also help others as much as I can by using my network to give back to communities and inspire others to also pursue a career related to computer science. I truly want to be an inspiration and help others, especially girls who haven’t always had great support or haven’t had access to any life changing opportunities.

I believe success entails a life of fulfillment and an impactful career. I hope to one day pursue a career in medicine, as a physician, in which I can constantly interact and help new people. Such success would hopefully allow me to support and give back to my family as well.

What motivates me to succeed the most are my goals and my mom. I have goals of becoming a lawyer because as a first generation graduate I want to make my mom proud and show her that all our sacrifices were worth it. After college I want to attend law school. My ideal dream job is to be in a position where I can help others by making an impact or big change in their lives.

Lack of access to health insurance within my community put me on the path to “physician hood.” Personally, I just want to see how far I can go.

Reaching new limits would be my own personal form of success.
