James Fontanella-Khan is appointed as US corporate finance and deals editor as part of a broader strategy to deepen the FT’s global M&A coverage. Fontanella-Khan is the co-creator of Due Diligence, the FT’s premium daily briefing on corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions. Prior to his role as US M&A correspondent, Fontanella-Khan worked on Lex and as a correspondent in Brussels, New Delhi and Mumbai. He started his career at the FT in London on the news desk in 2005.

Steven Savitz has 40 years of industry and academic experience. Recently retired from Stevens Institute of Technology where he taught in the Graduate School of Technology Management. Teaching in academia for 13 years was his second career. At Stevens, he taught courses related to new product and service development, technology and business strategy and the management of intellectual property.  Steven spent most of his career in the healthcare field working for Johnson and Johnson-Ortho Diagnostics, as Director of Engineering for 13 years and for Becton Dickinson as V.P. of Research and Development for 12 years where he managed a WW R&D organization as well as developing technology for WW manufacturing plants.

Prior to working at J&J Steven worked at Columbia University School of Engineering – Artificial Organs Research Lab. In industry, he led teams of engineers and scientists developing new products-diagnostics instruments and medical devices. Steven holds over 35 US patents in the fields mentioned above. Steven graduated from CCNY with a B. Mech. E. (Bio-Medical Option) and from Columbia University with an M.S. I attended many executive management training seminars at Harvard and the Wharton School. Overall his career has focused on biomedical engineering and how to better manage the process of innovation. Steven is currently am a part-time independent management consultant.

Dr. Brandwein currently works at New York Presbyterian-Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He is an attending in the Pediatric ICU there.prior to that, Dr Brandwein served as an Attending Physician in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at CCMC and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Health. During his non-clinical time, Dr. Brandwein conducts research related to mitochondrial dysfunction during critical illness as well as plethysmograph variability during status asthmaticus. Additionally, he is committed to the ongoing education of medical students, residents and fellows.

Leah is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and currently works as a Campus Advisor at The Jed Foundation in New York City, where she consults with colleges and universities across the country to strengthen mental health supports and prevent suicide in campus communities. She has 4 years of experience in higher education working with students in counseling, career, and veteran services, and teaching courses in Human Services as an Adjunct Professor. She also brings previous experience in the non-profit arts sector. She holds an M.A. in Counseling and a B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Omaima Khan is a British born Brooklyn based activist at UNICEF and the former Director of Operations at Women’s March Inc. A lead organizer for the 2019 & 2020 Women’s March on Washington, Omaima is passionate about intersectional movement building and international cultural exchange. Omaima has worked with the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to develop programming in South Central Asia, South Asia, and MENA through the Fulbright program, with a focus on student re-entry to Afghanistan. At Amnesty International USA, Omaima was a lead on the events team, managing a variety of human rights based projects. She freelanced with the Quilliam Foundation, with a strategic focus on encouraging de-radicalization in the Muslim community through artistic expression. Omaima has a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Binghamton University, and an MA in International Relations from City College, CUNY. Her research focus is in post 9/11 counterterrorism security policy and Islamophobia.

Alan Lewis is a communications professional with more than 27 years of expertise working within the interactive entertainment industry. Since 2008, Mr. Lewis has served as Vice President of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs for Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO). In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the Company’s corporate communications initiatives and media relations, as well as serving as the organization’s key Public Affairs liaison. Mr. Lewis also serves as the Chairman of Take-Two’s Charitable Giving Committee, spearheading the Company’s philanthropy initiatives. Prior to Take-Two, Mr. Lewis was a Senior Vice President with Edelman in New York, where he led the agency’s Digital Media Practice, representing such clients as CA Technologies and Sony Ericsson. Earlier in his career, he worked with several leading interactive entertainment and digital media companies, including Acclaim Entertainment, GT Interactive Software and MusicNet; as well as top-tier PR firms such as Burson-Marsteller and MSL. Mr. Lewis is a Board Member of GamesforChange.org and the Entertainment Software Association Canada, and serves on the Advisory Board for the Animation Industry Council that is run by the New York Mayor’s Office of Media & Entertainment. He previously served as a Principal in International Equity Sales-trading at Morgan Stanley & Co. in New York and Hong Kong from 1985 to 1997 and served as Managing Director of Institutional Equities at Credit Suisse in New York from 1997 to 2006 , during which time he headed International Equity Sales-trading and International Equity Sales in the Americas, as well as co-managed the Equity Middle Markets business.
